A Quechua Polo Sports

On this page we would like to introduce our mother company, the A Quechua Polo Sports GmbH. The term A Quechua has it’s origins in the Inca-speech and can be translated with „on the field“. The company – based in Graz, Austria – covers all business-segments in polo. Beside the A Quechua polo schools, the company runs one of the biggest polo-online shops in the world, www.myaquechua.com. In addition, the A Quechua Polo Sports GmbH organizes the largest coherent tour in global snow polo, the PIPA Snow Polo World Cup Tour. Polo players as well as event- and tournament-organizers can also rent the famous A Quechua polo ponies. In cooperation with selected partners, A Quechua Polo Sports organizes polo trips all around the world.

The A Quechua Polo Sports Gmbh was founded by former consultant and publisher Dr. Uwe Seebacher, who made his first steps towards this wonderful sport by purchasing a house in Southern America while he was on a business trip for the European Union. Inspired and fascinated by the spirit, euphoria and the sense of community polo spread in Southern America, he got quickly infected by the polo fever. Back in Europe Seebacher was totally disappointed about the bad image of the sport. While polo was known as a family event and an event for all kind of people, European polo was considered as high-society events with some horses. However, Seebacher recognized the huge potential of polo and founded the A Quechua Polo Sports GmbH. Already three years later, the company could reach the Break Even, what confirmed Seebacher and his work. Due to his activities in polo, he was later appointed President of the Polo Instructors and Players Association (PIPA).

Another big milestone and a huge honour for the company was the win of the Export Award Silver of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in the category tourism in 2016. The award was handed by former Austrian Vice-Chancellor Dr. Reinhold Mitterlehner. A Quechua could win this award ex aequo with the renowned and extremely succesful tourism region of Schladming / Dachstein / Tauern. Numerous publications and cooperations make clear that the A Quechua Polo Sports GmbH gradually succeeds to inspire and bring more and more people start playing the new trendsport polo!
