Do I need riding experience for playing polo?
No! In order to be able to participate in courses such as the Polo Tryout-Day or the Beginners Course, you do not need any riding skills. Our polo ponies are used to play with riding novices and they are well trained and very quiet. Numerous students of recent years will confirm this. Susanne A. for example wrote this on our Facebook page:
We were three (1 person with 20 of non riding, 1 person with 10 years of non riding and 1 person without any riding experience) and we had a wonderful weekend! We had a very warm welcome and could play a Chukker that everyone enjoyed. The polo ponies are extremely reliable!
What do I have to bring with me for a Polo Tryout-Day / Polo Course?
In principle you will get everything you need for the polo weekend at our facility. We recommend to come in solid, ankle-high shoes (e.g., Timberlands), jeans and sporty top (e.g., polo shirt). You can also bring your own riding-, ski- or bicycle helmet. Otherwise, we will provide you with everything. It is our aim to enable you a relaxed and stressless weekend.
Do I need an own horse for playing polo?
No! In contrast to most other poloclubs and polo schools, you do not need to own a horse for playing polo. We will gladly provide you with one of our 14 top-trained polo ponies as part of the course and afterwards until you feel ready for your own polo pony.
